Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials!  This is an exciting time in your lives and we look forward to working together with you to make this a special and memorable occasion.

Weddings in our two historic churches must be conducted according to the rites of the Anglican Church of Australia. This means that at least one of the couple must be baptised (christened), and the wedding must be conducted by an Anglican priest.

 

The first step in arranging your wedding either at All Saints or St Mary's churches is to contact our office and confirm a date is available. The office will then make arrangements for you to be put in contact  with our parish priest, to establish the initial marriage discussion. Marriage preparation is conducted over a number of visits in the months prior to the wedding.  Contact can be made by email to office@swananglicans.org.au or by phone Monday to Friday 10.00 am to 1.00 pm on 0414 325 659 where one of our dedicated volunteer office staff will assist.

Alternatively, you may wish to be married by another Anglican priest at All Saints or St Mary's. Normally this would be the parish priest at the church you normally attend. In this case, you would make all arrangements through your own parish priest, who will contact us to ensure the date is available and to book the use of the church.

 

All Saints - the older of our two churches - comfortably holds 60 people, while St Mary's can hold up to 150. Each of our churches is set in an attractive rural surrounding, with a historic pioneer cemetery adjacent to the church building. ​Some rules apply in order to protect the unique historical buildings and environment: for example we ask that furniture is not moved, also that confetti not be used.

While no charge is made for ministry or counselling, there is a donation requested for weddings arranged in our parish which serves as a contribution to the maintenance of our heritage buildings. A non-refundable donation (currently $300) is requested to reserve the wedding date, with another $300 donation requested  7 days prior to the wedding service. The Parish Treasurer will make arrangements with regarding dates dues and hw to make a direct deposit to our bank account.
